7 Meditation Tips For Beginners

The First Time I Did A Meditation Was 5 Years Ago And Honestly It Felt Kind Of Awkward. It Seemed To Be Just Me Sitting There Thinking About Everything, Just In Silence. I Figured It Would Be Better With Lights Off Or Dim And No Distractions Around. It Turns Out That Those Small Distractions Can Actually Be Things To Focus On To Stretch Your Mind.

After Trying A Few Apps On Meditation, I Just Wasn’t Motivated. I Felt Like I Must Be Doing Something Wrong, Because It Says To Feel Relaxed In Your Back, Or Knees And I Just Felt Exactly The Same. Focusing Way Too Hard On My Breathing And I Lost Sight Of The Fact Meditation Is Supposed To Be Simple.

Once I Started To Implement These Tips Into My Practice, I Stuck With It And I Have Gotten Much Better Results.

Tip # 1 – Patience

Understand That This Is A Practice And Is Meant To Be Built Upon With Consistent Action. This Will Not Be A One Day Fixes Everything I’m Tapped Into The Universe Kind Of Practice. Though There Are Some Solutions To Make It Easier And Get There Faster. Ill Describe More On That Later.

Tip # 2 – Anything Is Possible

Keep In Mind That For Anyone New To This, It Is Totally Possible To Achieve The Massive Benefits Of Meditation. You Will Learn How Peaceful Tranquility Can Be And You’ll Actually Like Spending Time Alone With Yourself. Each Day As You Spend More Time Alone Focused On Your Deepest Desires, You Will Be Inching Closer To Achieving Them.

Tip # 3 – Thoughts Are Good

Your Thoughts Are Not Meant To Be Stopped During Meditation. Your Thoughts Aren’t Even Necessarily Your Own Thoughts, Pretty Amazing Right? There Will Be Times To Focus On The 5 Senses, Sometimes Even The Sixth Sense. Yes The Sixth Sense, We Will Discuss That In A Later Post. Times To Focus On The Thoughts Themselves And Then The Exciting Part When You Just Lose All Focus. You Let The Mind Do Whatever It Wants To Do And You Will Be Surprised With The Feelings That Can Bring.

Tip # 4  – Persistance

Whatever You Do, Do Not Give Up. This Should Be Tip #1. Everything Worth Achieving Takes Time, But It Doesn’t Need To Take Forever. Keep A Positive Outlook On This And Do Some Research, Meditation Is How The Most Successful People Get The Mindset To Achieve Such Great Success. They Didn’t Get There Overnight And Neither Will Anyone, But The Journey Is The Fun Part.

Tip # 5 – Find Your Tools

Choose What Tools You Would Use. Meditation Can Be As Simple As Just Sitting On The Floor With No Noises At All. You Can Sit In A Chair With Your Back And Neck Straight. You Can Even Lay Down If You Wish, Just Don’t Fall Asleep. You’ll Want To Find A Comfortable Way To Sit And Most Importantly An Area Where You Can Be Uninterrupted. Some Prefer To Use Guided Meditations, Which Is What I Personally Prefer. You Can Use Certain Apps Like Aware, Or Headspace If You Would Like. Another Great Way Is On Youtube And You Can Search For Guided Meditations. My Favorite Tools Are The Ones In The Form Of Courses That Keep Me On Track. I Loved Going Through Manifestation Miracle, You Can Find Out More About That By Clicking Their Name. This Is The Tool That Changed Everything For Me.

Tip # 6 – Schedule For Consistency

Set A Schedule You Can Stick To Daily Or At Least Three – Four Times A Week. You’ll Want To Find A Time Where You Can Be Alone And Not Be Bothered. Keep In Mind, You Build Up To The Longer Meditations, I Had The Best Success Starting With 5 Minute Meditations. In The Beginning Anything Over That I Completely Lost Focus. Now I Personally Meditate For 20 Minutes Twice Daily. You Start To Enjoy It And Want To Meditate More Just To Relax. The Best Times Are Either Right In The Morning When You Wake Up, Or At Night Just Before Bedtime.

Tip # 7 – Record Your Success

Record Your Successes And Keep Track Of Your Progress. It Is Very Important To Have A “Push” When Changing Things In Life. Since This Is Mostly Done Alone With Meditation, You’re Going To Need To Learn To Push Yourself. The Best Way To Motivate Yourself And Give The Friendly, Enticing “Push” Is To Record Your Successes From Every Meditation. Afterwards Grab A Journal And Talk About What Happened. Even If It Wasn’t Good, Write It And Learn To Feel Good You’re Getting Feedback From The Universe. Also, Keep Track Of Overall Progress. Track How Long You Meditated Each Day, How Many Times In The Week? Did You Make It To Your Meditations Every Time You Planned To? Be Honest, Because You’d Only Be Hindering Yourself. The Journaling Makes Everything Tie Together And You Will See Just How Much You Learn About Yourself.

Hopefully This Insight Helps You!

I Hope That This Helps You No Matter What Level You Are At In Meditation. From Personal Experience I Know That Meditation Can Be Difficult To Start. It Took Me A While To See What I Needed To Adjust To Have Quality Meditation Sessions, Because I Went In Overthinking Things And I Hope You Won’t Have That Problem. Take Things A Day At A Time, Enjoy Your Solitude, Learn About Yourself And I Know That It Is Worth Every Minute Spent.

P.S Remember To Always Celebrate Your Successes. Even The Small Ones Are Guiding You One Step Closer To Your Goals, So Always Celebrate Those Moments. Grab Your Favorite Drink ( Coffee, Tea, Anything You Choose ) And Do Something You Love Doing But Never Have Time For. This Will Keep You Building And Motivated On Learning More And You Will Love And Truly Enjoy The Process Of Finding The Inner You.
